"After extensive research into the modular home industry and a number of factory tours, my wife and I became quite comfortable with the modular home concept. Once we achieved that comfort, we decided that Keiser Homes provided the best value in terms of quality, cost and ability to deliver.
Keiser referred us to Don Smith and D&D Homes in Rochester, NH. We met any number of times with Mr. Smith. He provided us with the information that made it easy for us to modify one of Keisers standard plans by adding some square footage and a few room dimension changes. Once our design was complete, we decided to do business with D&D Homes as Mr. Smith has had more experience with modular building than anyone we spoke with. It was our belief that experience was the key to a successful project.
The bottom line, we would rate Don Smith and D&D Homes with a 9.5 out of 10. We were pleased that Mr. Smith said what he was going to do and did what he said. "Over the last year my wife and I had the pleasure of working with D&D Homes. The process of building was somewhat complex due the fact that we were also planning our wedding at the same time, there were changes to the standard plan, money was tight and we were building on family land. None of this really matters because we were able to work through every single issue without ever loosing track of build cost or time line - or our sanity for that matter. We were actually in our house two weeks ahead of schedule and just int ime for our wedding!
The quality of our Keiser Home is exceptionally good; we spent countless hours and drove many miles researching exactly what we were getting. Realizing what the true cost of a good solid home is, which was a little more initially and well worth it by the time we moved in. We never thought of many of the simple quality additions that Keiser & D&D already had built into the final cost of our home (extra heating, exceptional windows, quality name brand construction materials, Excellent office staff, great sub-contractors, etc.) When we went back to look at the other contactors, these interns were either extra or non-existent. In the end, these were teh things we absolutely would not want to have lived without during the construction phase and now living in our new home. Finally, we would like to say "Thanks" to everyone at D&D Homes for an exceptional job well done!"

What struck us the most was how personable and genuinely interested he was in our home and helping us to realize our dream of our first home. Secondly, our home was completed right on time!! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful job you did on my new home.
Many people told Rachael and I that building a new home was the most stressful thing we could do in our lives. Actually, reflecting back on the construction of the home, it was the lending/loan that was the most stresful. As with any project of the magnitude, there were to be some pits and valleys to cross and at times things did seem stressful. However, thanks to having competent workers and a good code of ethics, the project never became overwhelming. Thanks Done for always keeping a perspective with us.
In addition, I want to thank Don Smith for allowing me the opportunity to do the work I wished to do myself on the home. Being able to add my own touch and even my own mistakes here and there allowed us to have more of a feeling that THIS IS OUR HOME -WE BUILT IT. Thanks Don for allowing us that opportunity.
